belated update
been happening for three days in a row. mum wants to send me for an x-ray or to be frank just a trip to the doc to check the state of my well-being. i'm convinced my intestines are all tangled up and it's a matter of time before my digestive system crashes on me. (i swear i havent been dieting! i mean, just look at me. yes. perhaps it's deprivation of good waffles) either that or i'd die from the cough i'm plagued with. let's throw in one more death option - last friday's mind-blowing math test.
NICE.
haha that's a new word of self-consolation that maine, wenqi and i have picked up from our highly-amusing cliquemate to make something hopeless beyond hope sound as brilliant as winning the lottery. anw it's been two weeks since my last update, cant believe stj was so long ago. haha kinda outdated to talk abt it now but basically it was an awesome dinner at marche with the canoe team. we had the time of our lives, considering we were the 2 noisiest tables with laughter erupting every 3secs due to a not-very-funny-but-everyone-laughs-anyway joke or some random-not-very-intelligent-statement made. :D food + fun = canoe girls on a high.
hccanoegirls! :D
trainings over the past couple of weeks have been as choppy as the macritchie waters. in a sense that an elusive tinge of accomplishement has come into existence and there's this slightly disturbing tendency to slip into pensiveness occasionally. no, i'm still greatly addicted to the sport and hyped up abt trainings. if only i could make it for more optionals, if only my mum could be more affirmative abt canoe, if only i could say i have a programme to follow, if only there was a way to know that the way i'm training now will ensure prospective good results. reading seniors' blog entries have helped shed some light and provide some sort of motivation; the passion for canoe is so strong and alive. it's an intangible feeling but i could somewhat strike a cord with sharon who aptly termed it an 'element of uncertainty'. very unsettling indeed. my fellow j1 teammates have caught me spacing out lately and showed a lot of concern. thanks so much girls, for all the comfort, support and encouragement offered. super touched! (: i'm fine lahh, as determined as ever to train hard and make progress in canoe. my partner's been down and out, hope yihang gets well soon! and lihui too, recover from the flu! sophia and yimtong need more sleep haha and rimmel! maybe i can convert you into a partner person one day :D
we must all jiayou okay. may is coming!
that's life. as for the duller (i.e academic) side of it, i made a note to reflect abt the return of this familiar feeling of helplessness during the recent lecture tests. more like a sense of resignation, frankly speaking. brings back memories of pre-Olevel days, sitting in our green classroom, staring at the blank answer space of a common test, inconspicuously sneaking a glance to see how classmates are faring and pondering wad to have for recess with the remaining time. thing is, back in sn everyone shares the same hapless fate after a test and when one says she is gonna flunk a test, she flunks it. hmmmm. i ought to change this sn-girl mindset. speaking of the good old days, we had a delightful time reliving it over cyn's bday celebration at glasshouse fish&co. it was a rare gathering where all eleven columnmates+geri+qianya were present. like the typical easily-excitable bunch of ppl we are, multiple conversations took place over the loooong table, cameras flashed away and we gleefully crashed live renditions of bday songs. yayy :D seeyou all on 280406. green victory! :D :D

happy subway outing with ling & xin! (:
